Tom Brady Net Worth in 2021, Salary & Endorsements

nfl

Tom Brady is one of the NFL’s biggest legends. He’s won more Super Bowl rings than any other player in history, and recently showed the world what a difference he can make to a team by leading the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to victory in Super Bowl LV on his first attempt.

At 43, Brady is also the league’s oldest player, yet he has retained the physique, performance and appearance of a much younger athlete. He has spent more than two decades in the NFL, almost all of it with the New England Patriots.

Brady weighs 225 lbs (102 kg) and measures 6 ft 4 in (1.93 m). In the general population, this means the quarterback towers over most folks, but he’s only just above average compared to other players in the league.

Although Brady is the most successful player ever, he wasn’t in high-demand at the beginning of his professional career. He played college football at the University of Michigan but had to fight hard just to get time on the field in his first couple of years before finally earning the role of team captain in his last year.

When he entered the 2000 NFL Draft, few teams seemed interested and was the 199th overall pick in the sixth round. However, Brady hit the ground running, helping the New England Patriots win the Super Bowl in his first season, and securing another five before he left in 2020.

What is Tom Brady’s Net Worth and Salary?

According to most sources, Tom Brady has a personal net worth of around $200 million. This makes him wealthier than most of the world’s richest soccer players. His wife, Gisele Bundchen, who is a model and businesswoman, is believed to have a net worth of around double Brady’s. Combined, the couple are believed to be worth approximately $600 million.

Ahead of the 2020 NFL season, Brady signed a two-year contract with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers that is worth at least $50 million. That means that the star quarterback will receive $25 million a year until the end of next season.

This contract was significantly higher than what Brady received at his former team, the New England Patriots. In his final season, he was reportedly paid around $15 million.

Of course, this will be money well spent for the Buccaneers who won their first Super Bowl since 2002 thanks to Brady’s efforts. He doesn’t look like he will be slowing down in 2021 either, which is helping the Florida team to receive strong NFL odds ahead of the new season in the fall.

What Sponsorship Deals Does Tom Brady Have?

Any athlete that is as successful as Tom Brady is hot property for brands who want to associate themselves with success and receive the exposure that comes from his fame.

Brady has signed several of these deals, including one with Under Armour that has seen the company produce a line of shoes and clothing that bear his name. A 2018 agreement with Molecule Mattresses saw Brady receive an equity stake in the company in return for his endorsement.

Other sponsorship deals Brady has made include some with brands like Upper Deck and IWC Schaffhausen. He also co-founded his own health and wellness brand, TB12 that sells foods that conform to the quarterback’s strict nutritional regime.

Tom Brady’s Personal Life

Tom Brady is married to the Brazilian model and businesswoman Gisele Bündchen. They were reportedly set up by friends who organized a blind date and tied the knot a few years later in 2009.

Before they met, Brady had been in a relationship with the actress Bridget Moynahan, though they broke up after two years in 2006.

Brady and his wife own several homes, including ones in New York, Montana, and Massachusetts. After signing his contract with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, he began renting a mansion in the Sunshine State so that he didn’t have to travel far for games and training.

Away from football, Brady is very active. Most of his hobbies are sports or exercise, including golf, surfing, cycling, and cliff-dive. One more sedate interest of his is politics, and he is reportedly considering running for the US Congress after he has finished playing in the NFL.
