Sierra Leone shocked the Afcon defending champions, Algeria, as they managed a goalless draw against them.
The hard-earned point is a credit to the heroics of the young goalkeeper, Mohamed Kamara, 22, who made seven crucial saves.
His impressive display earned him a man-of-the-match award, a remarkable feat considering he faced a team with renowned attackers such Riyad Mahrez, Said Benrahma, Islam Slimani, and Sofiane Feghouli.
The 22-year-old plies his trade with a Sierra Leonean club East End Lions.
His team faces Ivory Coast on January 16. Hopefully, he will again be at his best against such a powerful opponent.
