Gabriel Martinelli was born on 18 June 2001 in the town of Guarulhos in Sao Paolo, Brazil. His football odyssey began in 2010 with the futsal side of Corinthians. Moving onto the football field, he signed for Ituano in 2015 and caught the eye of scouts all over the world as he honed his craft.
Club Career
He began his senior career with Ituano, signing his first professional contract in November 2017 before moving to Arsenal the following year. His pro debut in March 2018 made him the youngest player to ever take the field for the century club.
His strong displays at Ituano earned him trials at clubs including Manchester United and Barcelona. Martinelli did end up signing for Arsenal, but not until July 2019.
