AFC Bournemouth have signed Serbian goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic a deal of about 25million for his move to Chelsea. The 25 shot-stopper has signed a four-year contract to join the Vitality Stadium having spent only two seasons at the Stamford Bridge.
In 2023 Petrovic was signed by Chelsea after MLS New England Revolution and immediately impressed because of his imposing size and quick reactions as well as ability to save penalties. Although competition was intense at Chelsea, he still featured in several notable occasions as he displayed his capabilities of playing in a top notch.
Bournemouth have been quick on the transfer market and Petrovic is their star signing as the club goes out to strengthen its club ahead of the new season in the premier league. He should assume the No. 1 goalkeeping position in the club, and he comes with good experience and a world-class pedigree, having represented Serbia.
This is yet another bold stroke by the Cherries who, under boss Andoni Iraola, are looking to make them a competitive team in the Premier league.
